Safari for Windows!
June 12th, 2007 — 11:26 amFinally PC users can experience the wonderful world of Safari and pretend they’re Mac users
I’ve always liked Safari because of it’s clean look and user-friendly interface. I know it’s not the best browser, especially when it comes to web development. It’s missing the awesome developer toolbars and the other cool add-ons Firefox offers, but it’s so damn fast! If I’m only browsing the web I prefer to browse with Safari because of how quick it loads pages. I’m very excited to finally have that same choice for the times I’m surfing with a PC. Although I’m not so excited to have to test in another browser, in fact when I tried to test some sites in it this morning I soon discovered one of the bugs…it can’t read a html file on a file system across a local network. It seemed to complain about the file url I was giving it. I know it’s only in beta so I’m not going to worry about it too much, and I would expect once it comes out of beta that bug will be gone.
Now that Apple is developing it’s browser for the Windows world I wonder if Microsoft will finally come out with a new version of Explorer for the Mac?
You can read more about it and download it at Apple.
